Oh, hi there! Thanks for checking out my site. I am a freelance director, storyteller, crafter, and event manager, based in Chicago, IL.
My favorite creative outlet is directing. I have a strong passion for storytelling and love theatre for its direct interaction with the viewer and its immediacy in the starting of conversations. I strive to create art that includes many voices in the collaborative process. I feel passionately that an intrinsic part of human nature and interaction is the telling of stories to one another; an action through which we garner an understanding of the world and our respective places in it. I find great joy in the catharsis this brings.
Beyond crafting stories, I love to craft items and events of all types. I have an Etsy shop (in need of updating at the moment) and can often be found crafting items of all kinds from wire sculptures to knit and crochet pieces to shrink plastic jewelry. I am also an avid bread maker and love exploring new recipes. I take my love of crafting to the next level by bringing story telling to the forefront for every event I help to plan and manage. Creating space to discover the little stories we tell ourselves and each other, and the small but mighty moments those stories create, is what make an event exceptional. I apply this to all events I work on and am able to create spaces that attendees and audiences will remember well after the event has come to an end.
